Quartz Specimen #01
(see details below)

Quartz Specimen #01
This fabulous specimen weighs seven pounds and stands seven inches tall.
It absolutely glistens. It has preferentially deposited metallic phantoms that
sometimes appear blue and sometimes golden. Really magnicent!
From the Mt. Ida, Arkansas area. $1500.

Quartz Specimen #02
(see details below)

Quartz Specimen #02
The lovely rock above hails from the Tribal Region between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
It is over seven inches long and weighs two pounds. The largest crystal is over five inches.
The green is caused by inclusions of chlorite creating a very sumptuous feast for the eyes
with numerous phantoms. Further removal of the white coating is possible to reveal
even further heavenly vistas. It is actually much more striking in person than the
photographs convey. $550.

Quartz Specimen #03 (Amethyst)
See details below.

Quartz (Amethyst) Specimen #03
This fabulous, huge amethyst specimen is from Madagascar. It weighs 5.5 pounds and measures 7x6x4.5 inches.
First of all, this specimen has been polished on some faces, but not all. This results in a superb situation where
you can enjoy it in it's natural form, or in a more reflective light. The polishing was done to make it easier to
better see the incredible inclusions, among them about seven to ten liquid filled chambers, with bubbles that
you can observe moving when you shift the specimen around. When it came to me, the bubbles were clearly
marked with arrows but I removed them many years ago. I did notice several while taking the pics you
see above, although I was unable to capture any of them in the photograhs. $1200.

Quartz Specimen #04
(see details below)

Quartz Specimen #04
This eleven inch crystal specimen weighs seven pounds. It came from the Jessieville, Arkansas
area about twenty years ago. For such a huge point it is incredibly clear and would be worth far
more if not for a bruise on the main crystal that I know was caused by nature as I acquired the
specimen totally uncleaned and the blemish only became exposed after much cleaning of an
extremely dense coating of iron oxide. It is still a majestic point. $475.

Quartz (Amethyst) Specimen #05
Details below.

Quartz Specimen #05 (Amethyst)
The lovely gemmy amethyst point above is almost seven inches long and weighs 2.5 pounds.
It came from Brazil. If you want to add a huge dose of beautiful shades of purple to your
collection, you won't go wrong with this one. The termination is very, very sharp and as I
look at it sitting in a window right now it just casts a calming glow all around it. $450.

Quart Specimen #06
(see details below)

Quartz Specimen #06
This near museum quality specimen weighs 5.5 pounds and is over eight inches across. What makes it so
special is the incredibly large gemmy crystals, seldom seen any more. It has two faults, neither of which
renders the specimen unattractive. The larger crystal has only a slight ding on it and the second largest
crystal was contacted in the pocket of formation interrupting it's growth. Still a very, very beautiful
specimen. From the Jessieville, Arkansas area about thirty years ago. $450.

Quartz Specimen #07
(see details below)

Quartz Specimen #07
This is a 5.5 pound, nine inch single point from near Jessieville, Arkansas. It's the only one
on this page that I didn't wash and dry before taking the photographs and it shows. The
specimen is much brighter in a cleaner state and the top one or two inches are actually
quite gemmy. The form is absolutely superb. The termination very sharp for such a
large crystal and considering I've had the specimen since I was twelve...over forty years ago!
I am sentimental about it but you can own it for $350. A teacher friend of mine slept with it
under her bed for about six months and she swore it cured her arthritis!

Quartz Specimen #08
(see details below)

Quartz Specimen #08
The incredible presence of the huge, ten inch, ten pound point above is hard to describe.
It isn't exactly beautiful unless you are a real quartz fanatic and then it's a marvel of
Mother Nature. It has all the charisma of road kill on the one hand but all the beauty
that can come with age, like a giant oak tree, on the other. It's almost like a dual
personality rock. Four of the main faces are glassy and the
other two appear rough but as you can see in the image just above this text it's really
just a multitude of smaller crystals barging through some unknown mineral that
accompanies the quartz. As you can see in the first pic above, the point is really
stunning for such a humongous specimen....every sharp. Within is a myriad of
inclusions, most notably perhaps the elongated white mineral you can see in the pics.
I have no idea where it was born, if you have some thoughts on it I would love to
know. Adopt this orphan, or older entity, however you think of it, and I am sure
it will please you. $750 plus postage.

Quartz Specimen #09
(see details below)

Quartz Specimen #09
Here we have an elegant vista from high in the Himalayan Mountains.
It is ten inches long and weighs four pounds. It's sharp with a superb termination
considering these are so difficult to wrestle from the face of a cliff while dangling
from ropes, then carried out in backpacks. It's the kind of specimen that has some-
thing interesting going on no matter where you look at it. You will want to just
keep turning it in your hand to see something new. I managed to capture some of
the inclusions, most notably chlorite, but they are much more apparent in person.
Some high altitude real estate for sale here. $750.

Specimen #10 Calcite Crystals
(see details below)

Specimen #10 Calcite Crystals
Very lustrous, golden spikey calcite from the Pugh Quarry, Custar, Ohio. These crystals
are very excellent, a feast for the eyes! This beauty can be displayed in any number of ways
and it is still gorgeous! Nine inches, 3.5 pounds...something you can really be proud of.
$375.
